Comments: Incredible elevation, perfect timing and a never-say-die attitude make the 23rd captain of the Silver Ferns one of the most exciting players in world netball. Casey William’s contribution to the game since she first burst on to the scene in 2003 was rewarded when she was made captain of the Silver Ferns in 2009, leading her side to success at the Inaugural World Netball Test Series in England. An in-circle defender of outstanding quality, Williams is a match winner and has continued to set the benchmark for defenders in this year’s ANZ Championship. She was the competition’s top defensive rebounder and grabbed the second most number of intercepts. |
