Comments: Livewire Liana Barrett-Chase has continued to press her case for a starting spot in the Silver Ferns line-up. A regular for the Southern Steel, Barrett-Chase made her debut for the Silver Ferns in 2008 in a memorable match which saw the Silver Ferns defeating Australia 46-41 in the first test. With skills similar to Silver Ferns team mate Temepara George, Barrett-Chase is a menace to those trying to mark her. Incredibly athletic and agile, the 25-year-old’s vision is often a match winner. She was named the 2010 ANZ Championship Player of the Year.
