Diamonds squad announced and tickets on sale this week

With the 2012 ANZ Championship season done and dusted, the focus immediately turns to the international season which will see the Australian Diamonds returning to the court for four Australian matches as part of the Constellation Cup and Quad-Series.

With just eight weeks until the opening Test of the Constellation Cup against New Zealand in Melbourne, the Australian Diamonds squad will be announced on Wednesday and international tickets go sale from Tuesday.

Tuesday

Diamonds Reserve Pre-Sale

Fans who have signed up to Diamonds Reserve will receive exclusive access to the pre-sale of international tickets for the first Constellation Cup match in Melbourne and for the Quad-Series against New Zealand, England and South Africa.

The 48-hour pre-sale window through Ticketek will give Diamonds fans priority access to purchasing tickets to this year’s Holden Netball Test Series in Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle and Sydney.

Wednesday

Australian Diamonds squad

Australian Diamonds coach Lisa Alexander and national selectors will announce the Australian Diamonds squad for the upcoming 2012 international season on Wednesday morning.

The squad of 22 players will attend a squad camp at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra, from 8 – 11 August. The Australian team for the Constellation Cup and Quad-Series will be selected at the conclusion of the camp and announced on the final day.

After 17 weeks and 69 games of the 2012 ANZ Championship season, we’re only days away from finding out who impressed the national selection committee enough to receive a call up to Diamonds duty.

Stay tuned for the squad announcement on Wednesday at 10.00am (EST), 9.30am (SA), 8.00am (WA).

Friday

International tickets on sale

Tickets for the 2012 Holden Netball Test Series, featuring the Constellation Cup and Quad-Series, will go on sale to the general public on Friday morning through Ticketek.

With four of six Diamonds Tests sold out in 2011, avoid disappointment and don’t miss your chance to see the Australian Diamonds in action by purchasing your international tickets early.
