The four semi-finalists have been decided for the 21/U National Netball Championships supported by the Australian Government’s Illicit Drugs in Sport Education Program after the round robin phase concluded on Friday night.

NSW secured top spot after defeating both archrivals Victoria 46-31 and the ACT (52-29) on day three to finish with four wins from five outings, their only loss coming against South Australia earlier in the week.

The victories set up a semi-final date against Queensland on Saturday for a spot in the grand final.

The even competition saw three teams level on six points apiece at the conclusion of the group phase with head to head records between South Australia, Victoria and Queensland used to determine who contests the first and second semi-finals.

The South Australians second place though they head into tomorrow’s semi-final after mixed results on day three, defeating Queensland 51-33 in the morning before going down to an impressive West Australian performance 51-44 in the evening session.

Despite the losses, both Victoria and Queensland have qualified for the semi-finals.
