Since Australian Diamonds Mo'onia Gerrard's move to the Adelaide Thunderbirds in 2008, the defender has had limited opportunities to play in front of her home Sydney crowd.

Growing up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches Gerrard is NSW girl through and through and while she loves playing in front of a supportive South Australian crowd nothing beats having her family there to cheers her on.

"I love being home and Sydney is definitely home for me," Gerrard said.

"I love playing in front of my tight family. I get chills down my spine playing in front of them because I know I am out there representing them and I just want to do them proud.

"It's extra special to play in Sydney because I don't get to play here that much with the Adelaide Thunderbirds but I still get plenty of support in Adelaide.

While not all of Gerrard’s family will be at the match tomorrow night some of the Thunderbird’s littlest relatives will be.

"I'm especially excited for my little cousin to come watch me tomorrow night.

"My cousins are little rascals and I like the ones that are naughty."

Tickets are still available for tomorrow night’s match for more information click here.
