Three of the world’s leading netball nations will duel in front of bumper crowds around the country next month when the Holden Netball Test Series unfolds in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

During the highly-anticipated series, Australia will play two test matches against the colourful and dynamic Jamaicans in Melbourne and Sydney and take on their fiercest rivals, the New Zealand Silver Ferns in Melbourne and Adelaide.

This is the fourth consecutive year that GM Holden will partner with Netball Australia as the naming rights sponsor showcasing the stars of the international game.

“Holden is proud to continue its association with what is one of Australia’s most popular sports,” Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, Alan Batey said.

“The 2007 Holden Netball Test Series gives GM Holden the opportunity to support world class netball and the chance for Australian fans to see the three powerhouses of world netball do battle during these exciting tests.”

Netball Australia Chief Executive Officer Kate Palmer is delighted about the partnership between Netball Australia and Holden to celebrate the series.

“Holden is an iconic Australian brand whose values fit beautifully with Netball,” Palmer said.

“This is the last opportunity for netball fans across the country to see the Australian team in action before the World Netball Championships.

"The team will aim to stamp their authority over both Jamaica and New Zealand. This will be a series to be remembered.”

Australian stars, captain Liz Ellis and vice-captain Sharelle McMahon launched the sponsorship today, testing out Holden’s Astra twin top convertible at Vodafone Arena, the venue where Australia will battle New Zealand on Saturday July 21.

Tickets are on sale for the Holden Netball Test Series. Details on www.netball.asn.au.
