Game Report: The AIS have recorded the highest score of the 2010 competition in their 79-28 victory over Singapore at Arena Joondalup today, to remain undefeated in the Australian Netball League. The match was always going to be tough for Singapore, playing their third game in just three days, and they looked off the pace early as the AIS stormed out to a 17 goal quarter time lead. The AIS midcourt pressure was outstanding, as the work of captain Shannon Eagland, Heidi Wilson and Teagan Ashmore created a number of turnovers for their side. And in their attacking end, Simone Nalder rewarded her side’s defensive efforts, finishing the match with 63 goals at 89% accuracy in a dominant shooting performance. For Singapore, they failed to score more than 8 goals in any of the four quarters, which is a factor coach Kate Carpenter will need to address for the remainder of the competition. The AIS now lead the competition ladder on six points from their three games. Statistics Singapore
