Constellation Cup

The Holden Netball Test Series kicks off with a three-Test Constellation Cup series  commencing in Melbourne on Sunday 16 September before Auckland and Christchurch host the remaining two Tests on Thursday 20 and Sunday 23 September respectively.

The two teams will be competing for the magnificent new Constellation Cup, symbol of the great netballing rivalry between Australia and New Zealand. The Constellation Cup will be awarded in New Zealand to the team who has won the most of the three Tests played this year (two in New Zealand, one in Australia).

2012 Quad-Series

Following a three-Test Constellation Cup series in September against the Silver Ferns, the four international teams will contest the quad series, which is being co-hosted by Netball Australia and Netball New Zealand.

The quad series will feature six double headers with three played in Australia before the competition continues with a further three fixtures in New Zealand.

Chris Sebastian

Born in Melbourne, raised in Adelaide Chris took an interest to music at a very early age. Chris was 13 when he realised that music was what he wanted to do with his life. Mucking around with the Cool Edit program, he recorded himself singing along to a Babyface track. “It was kind of karaoke,” he recalls, “but when I heard my voice, I thought, ‘This is it, music is what I’m going to do.’”

Soon after, Chris started writing songs. He’s never had a singing lesson or been taught to play the piano or guitar. “If you love something enough, you’re just going to do it,” he explains.

Chris’ first gig was singing the national anthem at an AFL match in front of 45,000 people in his hometown of Adelaide.

After his brother Guy won the first Australian Idol, the producers approached Chris, wanting him to be on the show. But he decided to follow his own path, forging his own way in the music world. “A lot of people think it’s been easy with my last name,” Chris says, “but it hasn’t been. I need to prove myself as an artist. And, of course, I have a lot to live up to, and our music is very different.”

This year, in 2012, Chris participated in Australia’s highest ever rating TV Programme success The Voice. As part of Seal’s team, Chris won hearts around Australia and has been in demand ever since the show first aired.

Chris will be performing the national anthem at the first test match in the Holden Netball Quad Series in Adelaide on Sunday 14 October.

Sarah De Bono

Singer/Songwriter Sarah De Bono is one of Australia’s unique upcoming artists. With her smooth powerhouse vocals, reminiscent of Whitney Houston and her unique Pop/Urban/RnB sound, Sarah is sure to push boundaries across the Australian and International scene.

Music is more than a passion for Sarah De Bono, it's her ticket to new opportunities and a life beyond the tough working class suburb she grew up in. Her life has been without privilege, however she's risen above her circumstances with determination, drive and a very rare talent. Inspired by artists like Alicia Keys, Jessie J, Usher and the late female diva Whitney Houston, Sarah likes to describe her sound as a fusion of soul and R&B. And is quickly becoming one of Australia’s best new talents.

Sarah will be performing the national anthem at the Melbourne and Sydney test matches.
