Diamonds squad to be reduced to 15 after AIS camp

 

The 22-player Australian Squad head into camp at the Australian Institute of Sport today, in the first steps of the Diamonds road to Delhi. Coach Norma Plummer will reduce her squad to 15 after the five-day camp.

Diamonds get a taste for Delhi

Australian Diamonds Susan Pratley and Catherine Cox joined athletes from the past and present as well as prominent members of the community for the Sydney leg of the Delhi 2010 Queen’s Baton Relay.

Twelve nations to battle for netball gold in Delhi 
 

IFNA and the Commonwealth Games Federation have confirmed that the following nations have been accepted the invitation to participate in the netbal competition at the Delhi Commonwealth Games in October this year.

19 Australian officials at Commonwealth Games

The Diamonds will not be the only Australians flying the flag at the Commonwealth Games with 19 Technical Officials heading to Delhi.

With the Commonwealth Games in Delhi only seven months away and despite being currently unranked, the Indian Netball team will take the court in November as the host county at the 2010 Games.

The Australian Diamonds selection panel will have two new faces in 2010 with former Australian captain Anne Sargeant and Nicole Cusack joining national coach Norma Plummer in the important position of determining the Diamonds team for the Commonwealth Games.
