Comments: Maria Tutaia burst onto the scene in 2004 dazzling fans with her smooth style and accuracy from deep within the shooting circle. Tutaia was part of the NZU21 team to win the 2005 World Youth Championships and the 23-year-old made her debut for the senior team in 2005. A naturally gifted player, Tutaia is able to slip seamlessly between goal attack and goal shooter. Teaming up with Cathrine Latu in the Mystics shooting circle, she ended the season with an 80.3 percent shooting record.
