Game Report: South Australia will head into Tuesday’s semi-finals in second place after defeating the ACT 47-27 on Monday at the Silverdome in Launceston, Tasmania. A 14-goal third quarter sealed the deal for the South Australians who had difficulty getting the upper hand against the ACT after a tight first half in which SA only led 8-7 at quarter time and 19-14 at half-time. The ACT, yet to record a victory in the 19/U competition, made life difficult for the second placed side, frustrating South Australia in the mid-court and limiting the chances of sharp shooters Cody Lange and Chelsea Lemke in the first half. SA kept their faith in the starting seven by making no changes at half-time despite things not exactly going their way which paid dividends as they outscored the ACT 28-14 in the second half to win their sixth game of the tournament. SA will take on the winner of New South Wales and Queensland in the semi-finals on Tuesday for a spot in the Grand Final.
